The Langstons

Living in the hills of Asia means you have terraces out your back door. This family knows terraces like the Cleavers knew picket fences. I just said my goodbyes to this family last week as I moved back to America. I'm lad I'll have these pictures of them to remember them by!

I've been working on some story boards lately...and I like 'em!

One of my favorites...ever!

This is so them:

Spencer is stronger than everything else in this world...look at those muscles!

Another family to come realllllllllly soon!

The Mowerys

Before leaving this side of the world, I decided to do some family pictures for the families I'm helping. Now this family is c-u-t-e! It's been really fun watching them grow these past few months, and it was even more fun getting their cute faces in front of my camera!
They will be having a little brother late summer!
Okay, let's just get onto the pics of them!

These are some of the most well read children I've ever known. I'm so impressed with their thirst for knowledge (and their mom's great teaching!)

Living in the mountains makes play time for these kiddos a real talent. One of their favorite spots to play is in the back of the family truck!

Hong Kong

I recently traveled to Hong Kong. I liked this city a lot and was SO impresed with how clean it was and how Ameri-Euro-Asian it seemed. It was also weird to speak English to Asian faces and hear it spoken back to me. It certainly made ordering food at restaurants easier.

Here are a few shots from my journey!

These are some shots of the subway station walls. I was so impressed with their artistic touch!

Making room for even more buildings.
I went to the highest point in HK to get an aerial view of the city. On the "Peak Tram," I found lots of tourist-y looking people. Being one myself, I had to get a shot of them all doing the same! Okay, maybe our subjects were a little different....

ORGANIZATION! wow...it's been awhile since my eyes have seen.

Raw

This is big. I am officially addicted to processing in raw now! Thanks to a new friend navigating me through it briefly, I now realize that's it's not as scary as it used to seem. I still feel I have a ton to learn about it and how to re-do my workflow, but I'm more encouraged by Mr. Raw's results! I'm thinking Mr. Raw is going to be my friend and make my life a lot easier when it comes to photo time!
Here's a B&A. I love B&As.
This is the image, shot in raw.

Same image, processed in raw!

lights galore.

Had some fun capturing some light in a new city last week!
Although it's kind of circus-y, I want this lamp.
I went to this restaurant (once a day, three days in a row!) and LOVED their lighting fixtures.
I don't want to be one of those photographers that puts one zillion pics on their blog of the SAME thing...so please bare with me through three similar shots! :-)

Dinner and a show! How about that!

Hello Moon!

I like tea.

This is what you make tea in.

This is someone who most definitely drinks tea.

This is where tea is grown.

Simply put.

welcome to game night!

This is my very first, EVER, like mark-it-down-on-a-calendar blog where I'm not sharing a session. So...Welcome to my life!
These are some of friends over here in Asia one night during a few rounds of spoons. Talk about intense! I had fun playing with some new in camera settings and post processing ideas! :-) I like having time to play...spoons and with photography!
